I haven't used a B-Band system before put am very interested in it for a current build I'm and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it and if you'd be willing to share it. Good or bad.
Thanks,

I really dig em. Very natural sounding. Smooth and creamy. I really like
the A2.2 with the UST/AST

What John said! I also use the AST with preamp by itself in octave mandolins & bouzoukis - very clean, realistic sound.

Love them, a little bit pricy compaired to others but I think well worth it when you hear it.

A1 preamp and UST is what I use. Very very easy to install. I've put this same set up in 4 guitars now. 5 mins tops and it's in.

I've used the A1 and A2 systems they produce a naturalish sound, very well made and easy to fit, The A2 has some small adjusters for the balance, its worth checking the balance before you fully bolt in the endpin preamp.

Hi Jim, I've used B-Band and very impressed. As far as im concerned its natural sounding and try as you might you dont get feedback from it. All round excellent. Also if you check out "warpdrivemusic" (seller) on Ebay you will find them for $68.00. If you cant find it that way you can always type in B-Band Acoustic pick-up on a search. You will find the pots are too long on these, but seeing as you havent built it yet, you can easily pack it to fit as its only about 1/8th too long. Put yourself a re-inforcing patch inside and that just about does it.

I also like the B Band Systems.
I have installed 2 UST A1 systems that have been great.
With B Band you can sort of mix and match. They are easy to install

I used the AST/A1 combo in a '59 Gibson LG-1 for a short tour 2 years ago.
It sounds much more natural than any undersaddle PUs I've used before but
I wasn't crazy about the sound, not much bass and very "neutral", it didn't
translate the "spankiness" of the LG-1. Might be better on bigger guitars.
Beware of the feedback though, they're much more sensitive than
undersaddle PUs. Have you looked into the McIntyre PUs? IMHO the
advantage is that you can use an external preamp and not have wires and 9V
inside the guitar.laurent38776.4926851852

I have been thinking of trying them out as they seem so much cheaper than the others I've used. With the coments here think I might give them a shot.

I have a B-Band AST in one guitar, and I like it a lot. My amp is a Genz-Benz Shenandoah Jr, and I like it a lot, too.

For those that have tried both: K&K Pure Western vs. B-Band. Comments?

Thanks for the feed back. It sounds like most would agree that they live up to the other reviews out there. I trust this group more than a blind review
Like Mattia I also would be curiuos about the K&K vs. B-Band thing.Jim_W38776.9826388889

How about a comparison between B Band and LR Bags Element, LR Bags I beam and the LR Bags I Mix. Those are the systems I ussually use.
